How soon should you book your cake and date?
The sort of chaos behind baking cakes, is not the actually baking, that is our passion and love. It is the admin side which is really stressful to live with and so we had to put some systems in place to help.
Handling cake business bookings, means the use technology and systems. That is why we ask that you use our website form and not direct message across our social media accounts. This helps us to keep on top of enquires and orders. Dates that are fully booked and more.
As our team grew we eventually started using a customer relationship management system intergrated into our website. The funny thing is that it is pretty much an electronic version of our original clipboard system but one that our admin team can access wherever they are.
It means when Laura is creating your beautiful cake her admin general is at work making sure quotes are out, dates are booked. Our social media captains ( yes we have more than one) are making sure that they show you Laura's passionate creations.
We call our teams, when it comes to getting control of the baking and caking diary Laura's "Mash" Team.
When requesting availability of a date/time what does it mean? When we are asked about if a date or time is available, it does not mean it is confirmed. You need to place the order via our website, we then send you invoice and then the payment needs to be made for the date to be confirmed.
Dates WILL NOT be held without a confirmed quote from Cakes By Laura.
